Putting the Day to Rest

I grew up on a farm, so farm scenes like this always kind of punch me in the gut with homesickness, in a good way. I drive by this farm regularly, and have always thought that it looked so perfect nestled in amongst it’s fields of soy and corn. The other night I lucked out and happened to be driving by when the sky was showing it’s colors—not a full sunset, but a soft, subtle twilight. It was a “Stop the Car” kind of moment, for sure. But, I found myself wishing, as I tend to do a lot lately, that I had a wide angle lens… might just have to break down and buy myself a present soon…
